So i missed the months of March and April, but May is here all shinny and bright. March was about women’s day, and April was the season for a home delicacy.
Over the years, i have noticed my brother’s love for shortcuts. He will drive off the main road and onto the bumpy off roads. Now where i am from, they are murram and when the sky is happy, it smiles rain……the mud heaps up onto the side of the road. It is slippery and one can end up in a plantation in the nick of time. It is amazing how what we do consciously or subconsciously defines us.
Now i usually take advantage of the long journey and take a nap along the way, but not with brother dearest behind the wheel. He complains about the traffic on the road, and off he goes….it still fascinates me how he knows these many mini routes to different places. I do take a peep along the way and it has helped me skip the main road on those really difficult days when i am running late.
He could seem like one who finds the easiest way out when handling anything. However, he is hardworking and with his busy schedule, has to find a way to do it all together.
Just recently, a top official was deemed mean, uncouth, selfish too. A man was dead, he was a single father on his way to see his daughters. She considered him a threat, even in death maintained her sentiments, and on the chopping board she was……you know the knife only works in one direction and we all know who got cut up here…. The public court ridiculed her but she simply kept going on and on with her explanations.
Now here’s the thing, she does have a right to explain, but the circumstances were not in her favour. Eventually, she let it go….
That’s what life is about even the smallest of things tells the world something about us.
